The directors may expend association funds, which shall not be deemed to be compensation to the directors, to educate and train themselves in subject areas directly related to their duties and responsibilities as directors; provided that the approved annual operating budget shall include these expenses as separate line items.
NOTE:
As a Board of Director for your AOAO, your Registration Request will be confirmed by your designated Managing Agent. Once confirmed they will process your registration payment in accordance to HRS 514B-107f
ONCE REGISTERED, PAYMENT IS DUE. If you are a Condo Board member your Payment request will be sent to your Managing Agent/CAM/Property Manager you designated on the Registration form.
If you do not have a Managing Agent listed, YOU are responsible to send in payment to HCCA and must be received prior to the event date.
If you are a *”Trade Industry Professional”, you are required to pay your own registration fee from your own funds and not Association Funds.

Association employees are welcome to attend. The Association Board has the authority to cover the registration fee using Association funds, if deemed appropriate. To ensure proper documentation and transparency, it is highly recommended that the expense receive Board approval and be noted in the meeting minutes.
